Individual Substantial Equivalency Evaluation Requirements

  • Good Character – Applicants must not have a history of dishonest or felonious acts.
  • Education – Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Starting January 1, 2012 applicants must have 150 hours of education.
  • Examination – Applicants must have passed all sections of the Uniform CPA Examination.
  • Experience – Applicants must have one year of experience providing any type of service or advice using accounting, attest, compilation, management advisory, financial advisory, tax or consulting skills.
