Farrar brings more than 15 years of IT leadership experience in the areas of application systems development and maintenance, enterprise strategic sourcing, infrastructure management, and service provider management.

During her time as CTO consultant to NASBA, the Association achieved tremendous progress in the assessment and stabilization of its information technology organization and systems. Currently under Farrar’s leadership, NASBA is nearing the final development stage of modernizing a major system to support NASBA’s CPA Examination Services (CPAES) division.

“We look forward to Cheryl Farrar introducing new and innovative ideas that will not only support NASBA’s information technology initiatives, but also the organization as a whole,” said NASBA President and CEO Ken L. Bishop.

Prior to her new role at NASBA, Farrar served as an IT management consultant with The Kelso Group, a Nashville-based technology management consulting firm. Prior to joining The Kelso Group, she served as Senior Vice President for Strategic Sourcing with Universal Music Group’s global IT organization. As Senior Vice President, Farrar was responsible for establishing the overall service provider and IT sourcing direction and management for the organization, and for providing leadership in the vision, planning, designing, implementation and maintenance of various critical information systems.

A graduate of Pierce College with a Liberal Arts associate degree and The University of Phoenix with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration, Farrar is also the founder of the Spirit Oaks Ranch Equine Therapeutic Center (Los Angeles, CA) and White Fawn Farm Equine Therapeutic Center (Nashville, TN). Both centers specialize in providing equine therapeutic services to children with disabilities.
