Most readers of the ALD Newsletter and those familiar with CPAverify know that CPAverify.org is a fantastic website that minimizes the need to check multiple state board websites to determine a CPA’s license status.

But the question is, does the rest of the world know about the great benefits provided by CPAverify.org? The answer is a resounding “yes!”

In 2012, there were over 46,000 visits to the website, with over 70 percent of those visits representing unique visitors. A predominant amount of site visitors hailed from the U.S. and Puerto Rico, but there was also a fairly significant amount of site traffic from Japan, India, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

Board websites are one of the main sources of traffic to CPAverify.org, with the top referring board sites listed in the table above, and as more boards participate in CPAverify, the numbers have nowhere to go but up. For example, in December 2011, there were just over 1,300 visits to CPAverify.org. During the same month one year later in 2012, the number of site visits spiked to over 5,000. This type of increase in traffic is due in large part to those boards kind enough to link to CPAverify, and a big “thank you” goes out to you for not only participating in CPAverify, but also for passing the word on to your constituencies.

If you would like to add a CPAverify link to your own website, here’s how.
